10 Elastic Finish
BRISE, or ELASTIC FINISHA finish for muslin, jaconets, etc., and is a special one to keep the fabric soft and clothy, leaving yams round. Drying is done on stenters, and the cloth moving all the time. ———————— Such fabrics as batiste and muslin, require to have a degree of elasticity so that when bent they will resume their normal position when the pressure is released. This elasticity depends upon glutinous substances mixed with other ingredients in the mixture. The permanency of the elasticity depends on the condition of the atmosphere as moisture will effect this. -
